I dont even know where to begin this post... i got so many feelings and thoughts that i'll just start from the top!

SP BP Mentoring anniversary was yesterday! Performed two songs!


Home by michael buble and Like a rose by A1!

I'll be honest, i was kinda upset and frustrated at myself for the below standard performance i gave in terms of pitch. Which was partly because i was still sick, thus the lack of focus and it affected my pitch.

But any case, as i was moody for quite some hours after reaching home, i kept watching my video of like a rose. And it finally came to me! I actually did a good job! Considering my situation :) I mean, sure pitch wise there's alot of problems... But! BUT! I gave the song a new life, a new attitude that none of you would have heard before!

(Side track abit, im not gonna talk about home, cuz i think it was just passable, and i didnt do anything well in particular about the song.)


Anyways, there's a reason why "Like a rose" means so much to me! Maybe my secondary school friends will know. Growing up, i couldnt sing a line in tune and there was this one very day. Where i was asked to sing in class and yeah, i disgraced myself of course. And then another classmate of mine was asked to sing in that very same class! And this was the song that he sang!

At that time, my thoughts were like, if only i could sing like him... and after so many years... when i first tried to sing this song, other than the fact that it fitted my voice perfectly. It gave me a drive, a emotion i never experienced before. It's like some kind of positive agitation? That powerful drive to want to sing this song well and give it life! A life of my own!

Thus, i believe that gave whatever i felt since those years in sec sch being envy of people who can sing till now. I put every emotion into the song. And i really think i did a good job :)


I know some of you might not believe this story. But surprisingly, i have proof! Just watch this video and you'll know! The first guy who tries to sing in front is ME! And there comes my classmate with this song! You can hear my classmates jeering my name (chih peng~ chih peng~)
